Cooking classes offered at Oso Creek Campus

Del Mar College’s Oso Creek Campus is offering a new cooking course, “Secrets of the Chef!” during the Fall semester. Del Mar College’s Oso Creek Campus is offering a new cooking course, “Secrets of the Chef!” during the Fall semester.

According to, Franny Jackson, Program Manager for Continuing and Community Education, the beginner-friendly class explores a variety of world cuisines, with each session focusing on a different culinary style.

 “It’s our commitment to the community to offer fun, personal enrichment classes. We offer a great night out, with a Del Mar feel,” said Jackson.

Classes will be held on select dates throughout the fall semester, with upcoming sessions scheduled for Oct. 11, Oct. 19, and Oct. 25. The October courses cover Indian cuisine, pastry making, and seafood flavors.

More classes are set for Nov. 8, Nov. 16, Nov. 22 and Dec. 6. Friday classes are from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday classes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The course fee is $60, with all materials provided, and each class is limited to 12 participants.
