We are pleased to announce that Del Mar College has acquired a temporary location behind the First Baptist Church for workforce training to begin soon. This effort allows certain classes to start while additional funding is secured to supplement the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration Grant the county received for retrofitting the former site of Little Bay Primary. We hope that prospective students around the Rockport-Aransas County area will enroll and take advantage of grant funds secured by the College to offer these classes tuition free.

The county’s partnership with DMC focuses on providing fast-track training that aligns with the trades industry and health care needs of the area. They are based on career fields included on the Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend’s Targeted Occupational List for 2019-2021 for Aransas Pass, Bayside, Fulton, Ingleside, Refugio, Rockport, Tivoli and Woodsboro.
