Del Mar College will host an All Majors Skills & Trades Career Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Emergency Training Building (Dome) at the Windward Campus, offering students and community members an opportunity to connect with employers from a wide range of industries.

The event will feature representatives from sectors such as industrial, automotive, and public safety, all eager to connect with job seekers and discuss career opportunities within their fields. Organizers encourage attendees to bring multiple copies of their resumes and dress professionally to make a strong first impression.

In preparation for the fair, Del Mar College’s Career Center is offering resume assistance and advice on how to make a strong first impression. Attendees are encouraged to research participating companies in advance, practice their “elevator pitch,” and even pre-register online to skip the line at the event.

During the hiring fair, job seekers can expect to meet with recruiters, apply on-site for open positions, and even participate in on-the-spot interviews. Networking is highly encouraged, and attendees can take advantage of Del Mar’s on-site printing stations for last-minute resume needs.

After the event, participants are advised to follow up with employers by sending thank you emails and completing any online applications through the Handshake job portal or company websites.

For more information, students can visit the Del Mar College Career and College Center or check the event listing on https://events.delmar.edu/.
