• Appointed in 2018 to fill an unexpired term.
• Recently retired as President’s Chief of Staff, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
• Served in educational administration for the Texas A&M University System for 27 years
• Responsibilities included higher education policy, legislative funding proposals and communications, campus and strategic planning
• Monitored compliance with Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board rules
• Assisted with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges accreditation
• Instrumental in developing the A&M-Corpus Christi Vision 20/20 Strategic Plan
• Earned a doctorate in higher education administration from Texas A&M University
• Serves on South Texas Public Broadcasting and Corpus Christi Literary Reading Series boards of directors
