Once a year, Del Mar College (DMC) hosts the Merit Badge College for Scouts from troops with the South Texas Council Scouting America (STCSA), formerly known as the Boy Scouts of America. Approximately 187 Scouts attended the one-day event that consisted of activities held all over the Windward Campus and took part in classes taught by more than 50 volunteer DMC faculty and staff to earn those coveted Merit Badges for their sashes. - 5:37STFPHC’s mobile clinic visits Del Mar CollegeOn April 14, 2025, Del Mar College and South Texas Family Planning & Health Care representatives announced a “joint health venture” and provided tours of the organization’s health care clinic on wheels, which is a 40-foot trailer featuring equipment and services that you can find in a regular doctor’s office. The partnership will bring health care services to students on all three of the college’s campuses––Heritage, Windward and Oso Creek––on a scheduled monthly basis.
