Speaker highlights from the Renovation Kickoff Event for the new Del Mar College Workforce Development Center-Aransas CountyDel Mar College held an event called “Workforce Rising: The Future of Workforce Training in Aransas County” Renovation Kickoff on Jan. 30 in Rockport, Texas. Leaders shared details about a new renovation project that will turn a section of the former Little Bay Primary School into the Del Mar College Workforce Development Center-Aransas County.Event remarks were delivered by Texas State Rep. Todd Hunter, District 32; Jeffrey Sjostrom, President of the Aransas County Partnership Economic Development Corporation (ACPEDC); John Jackson, Past President and current Board Secretary of ACPEDC; Del Mar College (DMC) President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mark Escamilla; and DMC Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Lenora Keas.The center is expected to open in fall 2025.
