- Corpus Christi neighborhood under attackHillcrest, a historically African American neighborhood first established in the Jim Crow-era, is no stranger to the industrialization of Corpus Christi, with refineries prominently located in their backyards. - DMC Vocal Vikings bring home bronze from nationalsMembers of the Vocal Vikings, the Del Mar College speech team, brought home two Bronze Sweepstakes honors at the Phi Rho Pi National Speech Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Vocal Vikings won Bronze Sweepstakes in Debate and Bronze Sweepstakes for Overall Competition in the small school division during the event held March 31 through April 6.
