The College has expanded its safety training courses and programs over the years to cover areas ranging from healthcare to construction to radiation handling to food handling to maritime safety and more. Del Mar College has trained over 6,000 individuals, including industry partners’ employees and public participants, who have taken workplace safety courses through the Workforce Programs & Corporate Services or Continuing Education departments. Courses and programs have been partially supported by Texas Mutual Insurance Company’s Safety Grant for the past 11 years.
